MICROSCOPIES

(MY RECORDS UNDER THE MICROSCOPE)

With this solo image and music performance, I inspect the surface of my records with a microscope and make visible, in very close-up, the grooves engraved in the vinyl and all the details of the texture of the paper covers, the patterns formed by the printing screens of the images, the ornaments of the fonts, the scratches due to wear, because the chosen records are rather old and date from the 70s to 90s. These paths on the surface of the covers are punctuated by the sounds recorded on the vinyl discs, specially remixed for the occasion. Microscopies thus proposes another way of seeing music.
